Charlie Parr Country blues man releases new compilation album ‘Cheap Wine’ on Tin Angel Records

Charlie-Parr

Country blues man Charlie Parr from Duluth, Minnesota USA releases a compilation of his best tracks on September 26th –the album, Cheap Wine, is out on Tin Angel Records. Charlie Parr is regarded as ‘The Real Deal’ by music critics and fans. The eleven-track compilation is sure to please his cult following in the UK and Europe. Parr draws influences from the likes of blues legends Charley Patton and Mississippi John Hurt, to create his own style..  His songs written and sung with his lived-in raspy voice and performed on fast picked Resonator, 12-string guitar and banjo are about life’s under-classes – the gamblers, the criminals, the union workers, the dispossessed and disenchanted –the real thing for sure, and you’ll be able to read more about Charlie soon  here on LBI.

Here’s a great video of Charlie singing his tune 1922
