PLUMPTON BLUES FEST, UK’S NEWEST FEST KICKS OFF IN STYLE!

It’s all eyes to the front as The Plumpton Beer & Blues Festival kicks off on Saturday 3 September; the festival takes place close by the Plough at Plumpton and features a killer line-up – two of Britain’s premier acts headline on Saturday Deborah Bonham brings her brand of soul tinged R&B and blues to the main stage and on Saturday Dennis Greaves brings Nine Below Zero to Plumpton. Other acts include Papa George with his excellent band including Sam Kelly on Drums; 24 Pesos who will soon be representing the UK at Canada’s Harvest Festival; Elephant Shelf the highly original London roots rockers who have just completed a much anticipated second album; Todd Sharpeville and his soul tinged R&B; and Rob Brown who is receiving much attention for his acoustic rock / blues tunes.

To top it off nicely there is a superb selection of real ales headlined by local brewers Harvey’s.

We’ve got some video of Dennis Greaves of Nine Below talking about the Festival,

and we’ve got some short audio interviews with Julian Burdock of 24 Pesos, Debbie Bonham, and Papa George – all of the artists are really enthused about what promises to be one of the very best festivals.

Finally we have a short radio special featuring some of the music that you’ll be hearing.

Just released is the long awaited 3rd album ‘Strategy’ from Buckinghamshire based band Storm Warning, this has been a long time coming after the band’s difficult time following the departure of their popular vocalist / harmonica player Stuart ‘Son’ Maxwell. The band features Derek White on bass and Ian Salisbury on keyboards, both stalwarts of the Larry Miller band. It’s vocalist Steve Norchi’s first album with the band. On guitar is Bob Moore who seems to have dropped the epithet ‘Mad Dog’, possibly explains the mellow approach on this album; Russ Chaney is on drums. The band has spent a long time on the lyrics for the eight original songs (there’s one instrumental track) on this album which was launched over a couple of shows at the Bull’s Head Barnes and the New Crawdaddy Club. Martin Atkinson produced the album at M.A.R.S. Studios in Buckinghamshire. The album is available from www.stormwarning.co.uk

Larry Miller is launching his latest album “Unfinished Business” at the Bush Hall on 30th June 2010 in London. This is a special event where you will rub shoulders with top journalists, and enjoy a night of fun with Larry.
Every ticket holder will receive a FREE copy of the new album, and a limited edition golden VIP ticket upon arrival at the venue.

The limited edition golden VIP ticket allows the bearer access to one Larry Miller gig of their choice absolutely free.
Each ticket will have a unique code that is traceable back to the ticket holder, and to use it, you will have to confirm that you are the original owner of the ticket.

We suggest you hold onto your ticket until Larry plays Wembley!

Tickets are priced at £18.00

Ticket only option: £10.00
