Hot night out as local Blues bands prove that Britain’s got talent!

Blues fans are in for a huge treat from 21-29 January as musicians across Great Britain go head to head in a series of heats to find the country’s best Blues talent in the New Brunswick Battle of the Blues. Events will be held at The Greyhound, Beeston, nr Notts, 21st Jan The Concorde Club, Eastleigh, Southampton, 24th Jan The Scotia Bar, Stockwell Street, Glasgow, 25th Jan The New Crawdaddy Blues Club in Billericay, 27th Jan BJ’s Blues Club at The Hop Pocket, Chorley, nr Manchester, 29th Jan This search for the best of British blues has come about because the Canadian Province of New Brunswick is looking to the UK to provide new performers for its world-renowned Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival, celebrating its 20th Anniversary in 2011. Says competition organiser, Lee George, “Knowing how much blues talent exists in Britain, Tourism New Brunswick was very keen to have an unsigned British blues band or singer/songwriter playing at the Festival.
